Very Rare Gallienus Legionary Antoninianus Gallienus (253-268), Antoninianus Obverse: GALLIENVSAVG, draped and uirassed bust wearing radiate crown to the right, left arm raised in adlocutio-gesture Reverse: LEG XI CL VI P VI F,Neptun to the left, holding sceptre and small dolphin The present coin honours the legio XI Claudia which is said to have been pious and loyal for the 6th time (sextum pia, sextum fidelis). Neptun apparently was the emblem of this legion. Generally, the legionary antoniniani struck for various units are very rare.
